About the event
The 13th Annual Trail Rail Run offers a scenic, point-to-point ultra trail race along historic railroad grades, starting in Mullan, Idaho, and finishing in St. Regis, Montana. Participants can choose from various distances: 50 Mile, 50K, 30K, 12K, 5K, 50 Mile Relay (2–7 runners), and 50 Mile Hand Cyclist. The course features gentle grades, breathtaking train trestles, and a scenic tunnel, providing a unique and picturesque running
All participants will receive a t-shirt, and those registered for the 50 Mile solo race by April 1st are guaranteed a commemorative Patagonia Houdini jacket. The event concludes at St. Regis Community Park with food, music, and beverages. Proceeds support trail improvements, community development, and an annual scholarship.
The Trail Rail Run is organized by the St. Regis Community Center, with support from the USDA Forest Service, Lolo National Forest, Superior Ranger District, and is sanctioned by USA Track & Field. The event was founded by Jennifer Straughan…
